One of our writers had to step down due to a job opportunity… first and foremost – congrats to Cher Dawn and I hope everything works out for her on her new adventure!!!!

BUT… she brought a replacement!

Let’s all welcome Patti Larsen to 12 Days 2010!  She is taking over Cher’s 8 Maids a Milkin’ spot.

The official list…

…a few items –

I received the same couple questions over the weekend. And I apologize for not including them in the submissions…

First and foremost, there is NO WORD LIMIT. However please remember that this will be an online project so a story hitting 5,000 words plus may be a little hard to read. To counter that point, I do plan on putting this together into a an ebook too. But again, bottom line is that there is no word limit.

Second, you write about ANYTHING YOU WANT TO. Take a look at www.12days2009.wordpress.com to see what I mean.  I want horror, fantasy, romance, etc.  That’s why I’m using two writers for each day.  Last year was fun because some people took the day and made it into a literary story while others used horror, etc.

As far as story content goes, it’s your story!  I just need something to do with your day of the song in it.

Hope that clears things up… if not, send me an email JimBronyaur@gmail.com  – but don’t wait too much longer, the days are filling up!

…thinking of December!

No, I’m not a retailer… I’m Jim, the crazy guy who started 12 Days last year.  It happened on a whim and was a huge success.  Now that the Phils are back in the NLCS and I’m carving pumpkins and buying Christmas presents for my kids, I can’t help but think about 12 Days again.  I wasn’t sure it I was going to do it or not… but how can I not?

Be sure to stop over to the SUBMISSIONS page… space is limited – I will do the same as last year meaning two people per day.  It will be first come, first serve, so don’t waste time!

And by the way, for those who are new to this… the concept is simple – I’m taking the 12 Days of Christmas song and making YOU write stories about it.  From a patridge in a pear tree to twelve drummers drumming, those who are selected will write stories around that theme… you pick it – scary, romantic, thrilling, literary.  No restrictions!
